Deliberately narrow. Built for sites that can’t stop.
Mark Scull started Wombat Sweepers in 2003 with a sweeper and a patch of South East Queensland. Twenty-three years later the business runs a fleet of ride-on and walk-behind sweepers, ride-on and walk-behind scrubbers, truck-mounted regenerative-air street sweepers, industrial vacuums and high pressure gear out of a depot at Cornubia — the point on the map that puts a machine inside half an hour of Logan, the Brisbane southside, the Redlands and the northern Gold Coast.
The business has stayed deliberately narrow. No residential work, ever. Every machine, every operator and every schedule is built around sites that cannot afford downtime: shopping centres that trade seven days, distribution centres running shifts, construction accesses under a council directive, exhibition halls with a bump-in the next morning.
That focus is also why the same people answer the phone and run the machines. When you call 1300 387 713 during business hours you are talking to someone who has been on a site like yours.
Mark Scull
More than 30 years buying, selling, renting and running commercial cleaning machines.
Mark Scull has worked with commercial cleaning equipment for more than 30 years. Before he founded Sweepers Pty Ltd in 2003, he spent eight years selling sweepers for Schwarze.
Mark was the first Queensland agent for Lincoln cleaning machines. When Nilfisk bought Lincoln, the business grew into the largest Nilfisk dealer in Queensland.
Mark later started importing Fimap cleaning machines into Australia. He chose Fimap for two reasons: its dust control is better, and its electronic and hydraulic controls are simpler, so faults are easier to find and the machines are easier to maintain. American-made machines had moved to touch panels and computer engine management systems, which caused problems and were expensive to repair.
We still sell the Fimap range, but the business now focuses mainly on contract cleaning. We run a fleet of Schwarze road sweepers plus ride-on sweepers and scrubbers. Our customers are in construction, civil works, local councils, events and manufacturing. We also rent out cleaning machines, and every one is fully serviced.
After 30 years of buying, selling and renting machines, Mark can inspect your site and recommend the right mix of equipment for the job. He wrote the guides in our Knowledge Hub and prices most site inspections himself.
Six machine classes. Never one compromise machine.
Sending the wrong machine wastes everybody’s morning, so the fleet spans six classes — each matched to a surface, a clearance and a kind of mess.
The paperwork arrives with the price.
Sites ask for documentation before a machine rolls in, and we would rather you had it with the quote than chase it later. Ask for the compliance pack when you request a quote and it comes back with the price, not after it.

Who owns Wombat Sweepers?
Mark Scull founded the business in 2003 and still runs it. It is Queensland owned and family run from the depot at Cornubia, between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
How long has Wombat Sweepers been trading?
Since 2003 — more than two decades of commercial, industrial and civil sweeping across South East Queensland.
Do you do residential work?
No. Commercial, industrial and civil only. That focus is why the fleet and the crews are set up for large, complex sites rather than driveways.
Are your operators trained and inducted?
Yes. Every operator is trained on the machine class they run and inducted to your site before starting. Insurance certificates, safe work method statements and operator tickets are supplied with the quote or on request.
Where is your depot?
122 Bromley St, Cornubia QLD 4130 — central to Logan, Brisbane southside, the Redlands and the northern Gold Coast.
